What We Believe
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the only divinely inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God, and we rely on it as the ultimate truth.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, gave His life through crucifixion on the Cross as a substitute for us. He descended to hell, was resurrected from the dead, ascended to heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. One day He will return to this earth in power and glory.
We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as personal Savior. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and regenerates us into the Kingdom of God. Heaven and hell are real places, and personal repentance and faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ – in His life, death, and resurrection – is the only means of salvation.
The redemptive work of Christ provides salvation and wholeness for every area of man’s life. These are received by personal faith.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
According to Acts 2:4, the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is given to believers who ask for it and receive it. This baptism sets us apart, giving us power and enabling to do the miraculous works of God in everyday life.
The establishment of God’s Kingdom on the earth – bringing heaven to earth – is the primary function of the Church in each successive generation.
